In short, the group Italian language courses at Parola school are conducted in the mornings, Monday through Friday, by our professional and friendly teachers and provide an opportunity to socialize and interact with others on your level while learning Italian.

Small Groups of Students Both in Florence and Online

Parola offers small group lessons in Florence. Our group Italian language classes do not have more than 12 students to our students’ benefit, with an  average of 6 – 7 students  per group.

Moreover, our language center also holds online Italian courses in small groups (maximum 5 participants) with Skype, Zoom, or Google Hangouts.

Courses in small groups guarantee attentiveness and visible results. 

Class Schedule of Our Group Italian Language Lessons

Our group Italian language courses follow this morning schedule, every weekday, from Monday to Friday.

Group courses are mainly structured as follows:

  • Grammar session (9:00 am to 10:50 am)
  • 20 -minute break
  • Conversation session (11:10 am to 1:00 pm)

Note: Our group Italian language courses are available in the afternoon upon request.

*A minimum of 3 students is necessary per class.

Our Group Italian Language Courses in Florence

“ALLEGRO” Course – 20 Hours Per Week

Standard intensive course.

4 hours of lessons per day, Monday through Friday, for a total of 80 hours (4 weeks), 60 hours (3 weeks), 40 hours (2 weeks) + free of charge recreational activities.

Please note that the “Allegro” course can also be taken for one week.

Program Of Study

The course consists of 2 hours of grammar and 2 hours of conversation each morning, Monday to Friday.

Type of Course

This is our standard course, which guarantees exhaustive grammar coverage and effective group practice in Italian.

“MOLTO ALLEGRO” Course – 30 Hours Per Week

6 hours of lessons a day for a total of 30 hours a week + free of charge recreational activities.

Program Of Study

This intensive course is a group class that consists of 4 hours in the morning (2 hours of grammar and 2 hours of conversation) plus 2 hours of review and practice in the afternoon.

Type of Course

This intensive group Italian course guarantees excellent results, as it provides 6 hours of study per day.

The 2 hours in the afternoon are flexible. They can be used for conversation or to review grammar, as determined by the students’ needs.

Note: the Molto Allegro course requires at least 3 students enrolled to offer the 2 hour-afternoon session.

“ANDANTE” Course – 20 Hours a Week

10 hours a week + free of charge recreational activities.

This Italian language course consists of 2 hours in the morning. It is up to the student whether they prefer to study 2 hours of grammar or 2 hours of conversation.

Note that this course can also be taken online, with a shorter duration.

Program Of Study

2 hours a day, 5 days a week, for a total of 40 hours of lessons a month + hours of optional cultural and recreational activities for free in Florence.

Type of Course

This is an excellent course to study Italian grammar or Italian conversation without a significant time commitment per week. And for this reason, it is also suited for online Italian lessons.

“ONLINE” Italian Language Courses

Parola also offers online Italian courses with professional, experienced, and friendly teachers with a small group of students (max. 5 participants).

These  internet lessons are held through Skype, Zoom, or Google Hangouts and can be taken all day until 9:00 pm.

Program Of Study

1.5 hours a day, 5 days a week, for a total of 7.5 hours of lessons a week.

Note that the duration of the online course can repeated. 

“TRIO” Course – Limited Number of Students

80 hours/one month + free of charge recreational activities + limited group.

This intensive and specialized course is specifically designed for language students who want to improve and deepen their knowledge of Italian as much as possible in a short time.

This course’s advantage is that there is a low number of students (maximum 3), which ensures intensive study and effective learning progress.

Please note that this is a dedicated and a limited enrollment language class: students are assigned their classroom and private teachers during their “Trio” course.

As long as there are at least 2 students enrolled in this course, the school can arrange this type of study that allows optimum learning due to the minimal number of language students.

Note: If a student has registered for a “Trio” class and the course is ultimately unable to be arranged due to lack of students, Parola will change it into one-on-one Italian language lessons.

Program Of Study

4 hours of lesson per day up to 3 students per class. 80 hours of lesson (20 hours per week)  and optional cultural and recreational activities for free in Florence.

Type of Course

This small group course achieves excellent results due to the restricted number of students.

Note that this course can also be taken online, with a shorter duration.

“AU PAIRS” Course

24 hours/one month (For Au Pair students) + free of charge recreational activities.

Our school has designed this Italian language course for students who work as Au Pairs in Florence.

In this language program, Au Pair students will receive language tutoring for 2 hours at Parola school (from 9:00 am to 10:50 am), three times a week, for 1 up to 7 months, as determined by the student.

Au-Pair Language Program in Florence

2 hours a day, 3 days a week for a total of 24 hours of lessons per month + hours of optional cultural and recreational activities in Florence.

“TRE VOLTE” Course

3 times a week – 24 hours/one month + free of charge recreational activities.

Parola has designed this course for those students who want to study Italian 3 days a week. These students can receive Italian grammar lessons for 2 hours (from 9 am to 10:50 am), three times a week for 2, 3, 4 weeks or more.

Students can also take this Italian course online, with a shorter duration.

Program of Study

2 hours a day, 3 days a week for a total of 24 hours of lessons + hours of optional cultural and recreational activities for free in Florence.

Type of Course

This is a right course for studying Italian language grammar without going to school every day.

“TRE VOLTE PLUS” Course 

3 times a week – 48 hours/one month + free of charge recreational activities.

The Tre Volte Plus adds two hours of conversation to the standard “Tre Volte” course on the same days. Therefore, students receive Italian language lessons for 4 hours (from 9:00 am to 1: 00 pm), 3 times a week, for 1 month or more.

Parola can also hold this Italian course online, with a shorter duration.

Program of Study

4 hours a day, 3 days a week for a total of 48 hours of lessons + hours of optional cultural and recreational activities for free in Florence.

Type of Course

Parola offers this course to students who cannot (or do not wish to) attend school every day. These students still benefit from the study of both Italian grammar and conversation.

“Tono” Course 

10 hours a week + free of charge recreational activities + grammar and conversation.

Note that the “Tono” course adds 4 hours of conversation to the standard “Tre Volte” course on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Students receive Italian grammar lessons for 2 hours (from 9:00 am to 10:50 pm), 3 times a week in this language program. Then they take a conversation class on Tuesday and Thursday from 11:10 am to 1:00 pm, for 1, 2, 3, 4 weeks or more.

These students also benefit from optional cultural and recreational activities for free in Florence.

Parola can also hold this Italian course online, with a shorter duration.

Short-duration Group Italian Language Courses

“Minuetto” Course

10 hours a week + free of charge recreational activities.

The Minuetto course offers 2 hours of conversation, Monday through Friday, from 11:10 to 1 pm, for 1, 2, 3 or 4 weeks.

This language program focuses on fluency, vocabulary, and pronunciation, Parola offers this course in the morning, so students have a free schedule for the remainder of the day.

Students also benefit from optional cultural and recreational activities for free in Florence.

“Tocco” Course 

10 hours a week + free of charge recreational activities.

Parola school offers a very light course for language students who already know some Italian. This program is for students who wish to study for a short time during their stay in Florence and deepen their Italian grammar.

Our institute offers this type of language course to those who are in Florence for a short vacation and want to practice Italian or brush up on their Italian language knowledge.

Usually, the Tocco course is taken by Italian language learners who wish to stay in Florence for a language holiday and want to use their time proficiently by learning and refreshing the Italian language.

“One-week” Course 

20 hours a week + free of charge recreational activities.

Parola school can also offer a one-week course in Florence:  a  group class of 2 or 4 hours that is only taken for one week at our headquarters in Florence.

We recommend this course for students who already know a little bit about the Italian language.
