Is there a break for classes that last longer than an hour?

Yes- each teaching hour lasts 55 minutes. For example, four hours of lessons in the morning will include a 20-minute break.

What is the daily class schedule at Parola Italian School?

Parola Italian language school opens at 8:30 am and closes at 5:30 pm, Monday through Friday.

Our Italian language courses are held during the following hours:

  • 9:00 am - 10:50 am- Italian grammar

  • 11:10 am - 1:00 pm- Italian conversation

When does Parola offer individual Italian lessons and how long does each lesson last?

Our Individual Italian language courses are held in the morning (9:00 - 1:00 pm) or in the afternoon after 2 pm. A one-on-one lesson lasts 60 minutes.

Students are encouraged to utilize Italian books, DVD's, movies and the internet to better their Italian. These tools are used during the conversation courses at Parola, as well. The lessons focus on question-and-answer exercises to help students comprehend and practice speaking in Italian. Depending on the level, the topics of conversation vary from standard language situations (bars, restaurants and directions) to politics, daily news and literature (upper levels).

When are the extracurricular activities offered and are they free?

Parola School organizes free-time activities in the afternoons, after our Italian language courses. Parola's activities are for free for students. Sometimes, especially during the summer months, we organize trips through a local tour agency. In this case, students will be charged for the activities by the tour organizer.

Do Parola students get discounts at local establishments?

Parola School has agreements with several bars and sandwich shops near our school where our students receive special discounts on food and drinks.
